Craft Classes

We offer various classes where you can come and learn with the options of a full course or one-off classes. We run courses all through the year from beginner to advanced. Our craft classes include:

Crochet

Always wanted to learn how to crochet? Join Sally in our Beginner classes as she takes you through the very basics to start you on your journey. Get to grips with the crochet hook and stitches and you will then create your first flower. This 2 hour session will be all you need to move on to the next stages.

Our continuation classes allow you to join Sally to improve your crochet skills even further and create some more advanced projects. This course spans 4 weeks and will help to develop you confidence to undertake more adventurous pieces. All materials are included.

Knitting

Our Beginners class is designed to take the absolute beginner through the basic stitches of knitting, learning very easy steps within a small class giving almost one to one tuition. During this two hour session Sally will equip you with the skills and you will leave with the confidence to progress further.

Our continuation class allows you to join Sally to start to learn some more advanced techniques to enhance your knitting skills. Sally will now take your beginner’s knowledge to the next level and will give you the confidence to attempt more ambitious projects. You will be very impressed with what you will be able to achieve.

4 Week Course

Sewing

Want to learn a new skill or brush up on an old one. We offer a gentle introduction to sewing. During your session you will learn all of the basic techniques to make simple projects and how to alter clothing, suitable for all ages.

Our advanced sewing course is ideal for people who know the basics of using a sewing machine and would like to enhance their skills. As an ongoing course we will cover a little of everything including pattern reading and cutting, measuring and how to draft a pattern for yourself, sewing techniques and tricks of the trade.

You will need to bring your own sewing machine with you. Some advice and guidance can be given about how to use it effectively, but it is preferable that you understand the basics before you join this class. Basic components, pattern drafting equipment and some fabrics will be available for the first week, but you will need to bring fabrics with you for future sessions.

4 Week Course

Scan & Cut

Ever wanted to know how to use a scan and cut machine. If you’re thinking of buying one or you have one and want to learn more about how to use it this two-week course is perfect course.  All materials included.

Card Making

Paper Craft

We offer a variety of card making classes from beginners through to special projects such as waterfall cards and pop up cards.

Our courses offer you the opportunity to use different techniques to create your card stamping, embossing, peel offs, Punches, colouring, decoupage, iris folding, quilling, using templates, using pattern papers and much more

Card Making classes run each Wednesday (6.30pm – 8.30pm)

Book Folding

Come and join us for a two-hour session. You’ll leave with a completed name book of your choice and all the skills & knowledge to be able to reproduce your newly acquired skill. We also have a Fairy House Book Folding class available.

All materials are included. Tea & coffee provided.

Basic Jewellery Making

Come and join Caron and learn how to make some beautiful bespoke handmade jewellery  perfect for creating those special gifts or unique fashion accessory

The course consists of learning about beginning jewellery making as a hobby.  The course will involve how to use basic tools, what you need to start a jewellery kit and lots of hands on practical on how to make your own jewellery designs.

In each lesson you will make a piece of jewellery with step by step advice, support and encouragement always at hand. Some of the items you will be making include earrings, necklaces, bracelets and bag charms.

Advanced Jewellery Making

This course will involve learning about wirework, getting you used to handling wire and gain confidence in your jewellery making skills.

Some of the items you will learn how to make are detailed wire brooches, how to make wire bracelets, how to make wire rings and use of ring mandrel and how to set tumbled crystals in wire.

All the sessions will be very hands on with lots of step by step advice and encouragement always available.

Handmade Fur & Felt Toys

Come and learn how to make your own soft toys.

You will learn all the basics and Sue’s gentle guidance will help you create your toy from scratch.

All toys are handmade and hand sewn so that no two are ever the same.

You will go away with skills to create your own individual and unique creations.

Great for special presents.

Our 2 hour Handmade Fur and Felt Toys classes cost just:

Floristry

We will be soon introducing our fab new Floristry course.

Our first course is a 3 week course. Each week with a different theme you will learn how to create beautiful hand tied bouquets that you will be proud to take home.

And of course, we will be moving onto Christmas arrangements and table décor

Decoupage

Découpe means “to cut out” in French and learning decoupage techniques will enable you embellish and decorate just about anything using paper or card and then coating the layers with varnish or specialist paint. Come and join a decoupage course, and be inspired to create!

Candles – This is a one and a half hour course were you can turn a basic candle into a lovely gift or even a table piece just in time for Christmas

Box – This is a two-week course. Each session is 2hrs and this will give you time to prep and create a unique box that can be totally personalised. You will leave with a finished masterpiece ready to give as a special gift or to use for your own to hide your own treasures.

Adult Art Class

If you’ve been promising yourself to get creative and follow your artistic craving or just fancy trying something new our tutor Paul will help develop your hidden artistic flair using a range of mediums.

Classes are small in number but if you fancy getting a group of you together that’s fine too.

You will learn how to use watercolours, acrylics, oils and pencil sketching and enjoy the friendly, relaxed environment.

Taster sessions and four-week courses can also be tailor made to suit your preferences.

Christmas Floristry

Brilliant as introductory courses to floristry these two courses will start you off with your basic skills.
